“Following the accident, we had sought clarification within 24 hours and the clarification has been submitted within the deadline,” said Information Officer at Pokhara branch of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal Kashinath Poudel, adding the accident took place due to air pressure while landing.

On Tuesday, a Chinese national and a Singaporean minor were injured when the glider they were

flying on had entangled with a power line in course of landing in Khapaudi area. The two, including the seven-year-old minor, had made the flight from Open Sky Paragliding Company.

As per the law, the government can scrap the paragliding company’s licence or the pilot’s licence in case a paragliding company is found flying minors.
