KATHMANDU, JUNE 23

The Nepal Green Tara Foundation (NGTF) distributed a relief care package in the second phase of its attempt to provide Covid-19 relief to Sundar Devi Community, Nuwa Estate Coffee Farm Catchment Area, in Nuwakot.

In a bid to help the community that is severely affected by the second wave of Covid-19, and long prohibitory order clamped to stop the spread of the contagion, NGTF provided a relief package which includes a bag of rice, a bag of beaten rice, a box of noodles, cooking oil and salt, to over 150 households in the area.

Earlier on May 31, NGTF had also distributed relief materials to over 140 households comprising 400 members.

The Foundation provided relief with the help and funding of Professor Wolfgang and his team from Nepalhelfi Tirol, Austria, informed NGTF chairman Tashi Tenzing Sherpa while appreciating the help and funding from the NGTF partners.

"It has been gratifying to see the happiness on faces of people who are facing extremely tough times," said Sherpa who was at the site to distribute the relief package along with his wife Nima and family.
