Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 720,680 on Tuesday with 3,194 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 673,198 with 2,115 discharges logged today.
On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll increased to 10,150 with 35 more fatalities.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, 19,123 total tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 13,217 were PCR tests while 5,906 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 3,707,396 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 1,710 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 4,904.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 93.4 %, while the fatality rate stands at 1.5%. The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 37,332.
So far, a total of 7,263,702 people has received coronavirus vaccine across the country, of which 4,541,682 have received the first dose while only 2,722,020 individuals have been inoculated with both the doses and are fully vaccinated.
Kathmandu records the highest district total with 795 infections while Jhapa with 297 has second highest infection. Similarly, Kaski is third in line with 294 infections..
Currently, there are 381 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Monday, Nepal's coronavirus caseload had reached 717,486 with 2,609 more people testing positive for the infection.
Globally, over 204 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 4.3 million people have lost their lives to the disease.
Likewise, over 183 million people have recovered while more than 16 million cases are still active.
