The Non-Resident Nepali Association National Coordination Council (NRNA-NCC) South Korea concluded its Unity Convention in Seoul, South Korea. The event was marked by a grand and enthusiastic gathering, symbolizing a significant step forward in organizational unity and leadership transition.
The convention was attended by several guests, including Arun Kumar Chaudhary, Minister of State for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, who served as the chief guest. Dr. Shesh Ghale, former President of NRNA-ICC and coordinator of the High-Level Committee of the Unity Convention, participated as a special guest. Binod Kunwar, a member of the High-Level Committee and coordinator of the NRNA-NCC Coordination Subcommittee, was present as guest of honour. In addition, various political and social figures from different sectors were also in attendance, lending further significance to the event.
The convention unanimously elected a new executive committee under the leadership of Bipin Kumar Gurung, who pledged to guide the organization with integrity, discipline, and a renewed sense of direction.
The newly elected office bearers include Mahesh Bajgai as ICC Member; Bipin Kumar Gurung as President; Jit Bahadur Kunwar as Senior Vice President; Avadesh Kumar Chaurasiya, Prashant Raj Baniya, and Shyam Raj Timilsina as Vice Presidents; Ajay Sodari as General Secretary; Naresh Sharma and Tarzan Rai as Secretaries; Yagyaman Nayak as Treasurer; Sushma Tamang as Deputy Treasurer; Ananta Acharya and Rukma Bam as Youth Coordinators for male and female, respectively; and Yam Bahadur Khatri, Dipendra Rokaya, Pradeep Timilsina, Ajaykant Kushwaha, Sangharsha Lamsal, and Khagendra Joshi as executive members.
Reflecting on the overwhelming participation and energy at the convention, the newly elected leadership emphasized their commitment to integrity, democratic process, and organizational unity. "We are not here to issue meaningless statements or engage in divisive politics," noted the press release. "Our goal is to contribute creatively and meaningfully to Nepal and the Nepali diaspora, utilizing our time and capacity while living abroad."
The leadership also expressed sincere gratitude to all individuals and supporters who contributed in any capacity to make the Unity Convention a dignified, well-organized, and successful event.
