Parbat gets fire engine for the first time in district

PARBAT: For the first time in the district, Kushma Municipality bought a modern fire brigade in Parbat district.

Executive Officer of Kushma Municipality Chandika Poudel said, “We had a difficulty to douse the fire whenever a fire brokeout due to lack of a fire engine. A fire engine was essential to prevent the fire induced damages that could take place with the rise in urbanisation.”

Executive Officer Poduel said that the fire engine having capacity to store 3,500 litre of water was bought for Rs 5.9 million.

Last year, property worth more than Rs 4 million was gutted to cinder due to a fire in a cotton factory in the district headquarters of Kushma.
