Police have started the probe with the 6,553-word status Acharya posted on Facebook before the self-immolation.

According to police sources, interrogation of the people Acharya named in his Facebook post has started. Acharya had accused several people of not paying the amount they owed him.

Meanwhile, today, police called Min Bahadur Gurung, the owner of Bhatbhateni Super Market, to record his statement in connection with the self-immolation case.

Acharya said in his Facebook post that he would give goods on credit to business houses like Bhatbhateni that would sell those goods and make money, but dilly-dallied in paying him. "The rich, with their money, keep rising while the poor keep sinking," Acharya wrote in his Facebook post. He also mentioned that Bhatbhateni had asked for 30 per cent profit margin. Along with Bhatbhateni owner Gurung, other persons mentioned in Acharya's post will also be interrogated, said police.

Acharya, who had set himself on fire on Tuesday last week, died at Kirtipur Burn Hospital at 5:00am the following day. Thirty-sevenyear-old Acharya was taken to the hospital, but could not be saved. Police also took a statement from SAAN International College located in Naxal. Acharya had mentioned in his status that the college did not pay him 90,000 for a tour package.
