Preparations for re-election in Bajura's Budhiganga Municipality have been completed and security has been beefed up. Reelection in Budhiganga is scheduled for tomorrow.
According to Chief District Officer Prakashchandra Adhikari, security has been beefed up in order to ensure that the election is held in a free and fearless environment.
"Enough security personnel have been deployed for security in the election in consultation with political parties," said the CDO.
"There are 19 polling centres in the local level and we have deployed security personnel under the command of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force inspectors.
Similarly, polling staffers have also reached the polling centres with election paraphernalia," said Adhikari.
As per the schedule, the re-election is scheduled to start from 7:00am tomorrow across the local level. The municipality has a total of 13,659 registered voters. The election in the local level on May 13 was halted in Budhiganga Municipality following disputes between the Nepali Congress and the CPN- UML.
The Election Commission, after a field study, had decided to hold re-election.
