Search for the youth gone missing in the Mahakali River is still on here.
Jay Singh Dhami of Byas, Darchula, had gone missing on July 30 while crossing the Mahakali River using a wire bridge, tuin.
According to Assistant Chief District Officer Khagendra Bharati, search for the missing Jay Singh is under way even in Baitadi district.
Nepal Police and Armed Police Force were mobilised for the search operation.
Bharati added that the search had begun in Baitadi district as well after he was not found in Darchula district along the Mahakali River. The river flows via Darchula-Baitadi-Dadeldhura.
The government had formed a probe committee to intensify Dhami's search.
It was formed under the coordination of Joint-secretary at the home ministry Janardan Gautam.
Although 22 days have passed since the disappearance of Jaya Singh, his whereabouts is still unknown.
The family of Jaya Singh has already performed his final rites.
According to witnesses, Singh went missing after the India's Seema Surakshya Bal cut off the tuin while Jay Singh was attempting to cross the Mahakali River via tuin at Malghat of ward 2 of Byas Municipality in Darchula.
Police have employed drone to look out for the 33-year-old after he disappeared.
The investigation committee was formed by the government on August 1.
The team had conducted on-site visit of the accident site in both bordering areas in Nepal and India. It even held discussions with the people's representatives, political parties, journalists, human rights defenders, locals and witnesses, among others.
