Secretaries of the village development committees have said they are unwilling to go to villages to collect the voters’ lists, notwithstanding the administration’s commitment to ensure their security.

Speaking at an interaction, they said they were unwilling to resume work at the VDCs due to insecurity in villages.

The administration has said that security of VDC secretaries, who will be mobilised in villages from April 14 to collect voters’ lists and make preparations for polls. It decided to provide them security after they showed their reluctance to go to the VDCs.
