Sujata meets Indian FM

New Delhi, July 21:

A leader of the Nepali Congress (NC), Sujata Koirala, met Indian External Affairs Minister Pranav Mukherjee here today The NC leader had arrived in New Delhi yesterday to hold discussions with Indian leaders, including Chief Ministers of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, to make the constituent assembly (CA) polls a success.

Sujata will meet the Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar on Monday. Koirala said she is visiting New Delhi, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh as the special envoy of Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala.

“I will discuss matters including Tarai problems and the possible infiltration of criminals on the Indo-Nepal border in the CA polls during my meetings with Indian leaders,” she said, adding that assistance of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh state governments is a must to strengthen security on the Indo-Nepal border during the CA polls.

Sujata said she is meeting Bihar Chief Minister Kumar, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati, Central Rail Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, chairperson of the Janta Dal United Sarad Yadav and Central Agriculture Minister Ram Bilash Paswan.
