She is being treated at Kathmandu's Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre in Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital. The first surgery was performed on her on Sunday.

Mina, who was fighting for her life after being unable to finance surgery for the disease, received assistance for the same, according to Samrat Singh Basnet, the organization's Chair.

Similarly, Amar Chhetri, who is now residing in the United States, has donated Rs 10,000 to Mina's treatment, while Bajura Hospital staff members have collected Rs 13,410.

Two years ago, she was diagnosed with a heart condition at Kathmandu's Sahid Gangalal National Centre. She had even ceased taking medications prescribed by the hospital, owing to her financial situation, to be taken until her operation.
