UDMF continues relay hunger strike

Rautahat, October 11

United Democratic Madhesi Front cadres continued their round-the-clock relay hunger strike at the bridge located at the Nepal-India border today in Rautahat.

Apart from UDMF cadres, workers affiliated to Mechanics Association and local traders too participated in the relay hunger strike at Dasgaja area of Bairganiya in Gaur.

UDMF has been staging relay hunger strike for the past three weeks. The prolonged relay hunger strike has obstructed import of goods and other commodities from India to Nepal.

The agitating cadres of the UDMF have warned they will obstruct the transport of goods and other stuffs until their demands are fulfilled.

UDMF Rautahat Coordinator Ramniwash Yadav accused the major parties of indulging in the game of making and unmaking the government and overshadowing the problems seen in the plains.

Meanwhile, locals have given continuity to the round-the-clock relay hunger strike at Manmohandwar, Auraiya VDC of Rautahat for the past 17 days.
