All set to run party for at least another five years as high and mighty chief
KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 30
KP Sharma Oli has won the CPN-UML leadership election held during the party's 10th national General Convention being held in Chitwan.
UML Chair oli was challenged by vice-chair Bhim Rawal to contend for the top post of the largest party in the parliament.
Oli's expected victory was made official with the conclusion of vote count wherein 2,096 votes had been cast, wherein he had secured 1,808 votes against Rawal's 213 votes.
Out of 2,153 delegates, only 2,096 had cast their votes through electronic voting manchine in the elections that began at wee hours of Tuesday at Hotel Seven Star in Sauraha of the district.
Along with the post of party chair, voting waa held for the post of vice-chairs, secretaries and some central members from various clusters.
Meanwhile, the senior vice-chair, general secretary and three deputy general secretaries have already been already elected unopposed
