Sharmila Thapa and Rashmi Ghising scored hat-tricks as Tribhuvan Army Football Club thrashed Chandrapur Municipality 10-0 in the National Women's League here at the ANFA Complex grounds today.
Thapa and Ghising scored four goals each for the departmental side, while Bimala Chaudhary and Sapana Malla netted one apiece. With the victory, TAFC moved to second position with seven points from four matches, while Chandrapur have three points. TAFC dominated the match from the beginning with Bimala Chaudhary opening the scoring in the third minute. Sharmila Thapa netted two goals in the 15th and 35th minutes before Sapana Malla scored in the 44th to go into the break with a 4-0 lead.
The departmental side added six more goals in the second half to complete the thumping victory.
Okayer-of-the-match Thapa completed her hattrick in the 51st minute and also found the back of the nets in 64th minutes, while Ghising completed her treble in the space of seven minutes - 59th, 62nd and 64th minutes.
Nepal APF Club are at the top of the seven-team standing with maximum 12 points from four matches, while another departmental side Nepal Police Club are third with five.
Waling, who also have five points, are fourth on inferior goal difference.
