Baluwatar Carnival

KATHMANDU: Dhaulagiri Team defeated Annapurna Team by 74 runs in the final of the Baluwatar Cricket Carnival here on Sunday.

Batting first, Dhaulagiri scored 82-1 in their allotted 10 overs before Annapurna were packed for eight runs in 4.5 overs. Surendra Bikram Basnet top scored for Daulagiri with 48 runs, while Prashant Tamang scored 24 runs. Basnet was named the player of the series, while his Dhaulagiri teammate Prashant Tamang was declared the best batsman. Sadhitya Banjara of Machhapuchhre was named the best fielder, while Krishma Gurung of Rhinos was adjudged the rising player.

All the individual winners received trophies along with Rs 500 each from Baluwatar Cricket Club Training Centre Founder Upendra Prasad Bhattarai. Coordinator of Nepal Advisory Committee Binay Raj Pandey among others handed over the prizes.
