KATHMANDU: Nepali tennis player Abhilasha Bista faced a 6-0, 6-0 defeat at the hands of France's Alice Robbe in the first round match of the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour W25 Bujumbura in Burundi on Tuesday.
Bista sealed a place in the main draw with a victory over Indian player Ashmitha Easwaramurthi in the second round match of the qualifiers on Monday.
She became the first Nepali tennis player to achieve the milestone.
The 19-year-old Bista had defeated another Indian player, Sanya Yadav in the first round match.
