KATHMANDU: Bishal Milan Kendra defeated Himalayan Hounds 61-57 for their first victory in the Kwik’s Basketball League here on Tuesday.

Himalayan Hounds took the first two quarters  19-14 and 14-12 to go into the break with seven-point lead. After both the teams scored 13 points each in the third quarter, BMK bounced back strongly and registered a 22-11 victory.

BMK’s Bikash Gurung netted 18 points, while Bibek Shrestha contributed 16 and Bimal Karki netted 12. Similarly, Bijay Burja of Himalayan Hounds netted 20 points with three assists, while Saurav Shrestha contributed 18 points with six assists.

On Wednesday, Team Budhanilkantha Municipality will take on Kirtipur Basketball Team, while South Siders Basketball Club will play against Tribhuvan Army Club.
