BIRATNAGAR: Tribhuvan Army Club, Nepal Police Club, Sudurpashchim Province and Madhesh Province advanced to the semi-finals of the fourth Shikhar Purush Girija Prasas Koirala memorial National Hockey Tournament here at the Shahid Maidan on Saturday.
TAC topped Group A ahead of NPC, while Sudurpashchim and Madhesh finished first and second respectively in Group B.
On Sunday, TAC will take on Madhesh, while NPC will face Sudurpashchim in semi-finals. In the league round matches, Sudurpashchim defeated Madhesh 5-3, while Gandaki and Karnali played a 2-2 draw. In the first-ever match played under lights on Friday night, TAC hammered Gandaki 8-1.
