Nepal's Sushita scored 619 points in the women's 10m Air Rifle event, Kalpana Pariyar came second with 617 points

Sushita Nepal scored 619 points in the women's 10m Air Rifle event under the first Asian Online Shooting Championship here at the International Sports Complex Shooting Range on Saturday.

Nepal finished first among the three Nepali shooters participating in the event organised by Kuwait Shooting Association under the auspices of Asian Shooting Confederation. Out of the total points of 654, Kalpana Pariyar came second with 617 points, while Mira Banjara was third with 591.3 points.

In men's section, Hari Bahadur Thapa accumulated 590.8 points, while Arnav Ghimire was second with568.9 followed by Kumar Karki (564.3). Meanwhile, the organisers announced the results of the 10m Air Pistol event held on Friday, after collecting the shooters' scores from all the participating 22 nations.

Nepal's Bipesh Khadka came 38th, followed by Badruddin Ansari (43) and Sukhadev Chaudhary (44) in the men's section event participated in by 47 players. Indian shooters claimed first and third positions, while Iranian player came second. In women's section, Krishnaa Thapa was 27th among the 45 participants, while Sarita Basnet came 38th.

Iranian shooters bagged top two spots, while Indian player was third in the event.

The 10m Air Rifle results will be announced on Sunday.
