Nepal  Police Club and Ifad Women’s Volleyball Club of Bangladesh recorded  wins in the fifth Prime Minister Cup International Women’s Volleyball  Tournament at the Nepalgunj Stadium courts today.

NPC defeated Sports  Trainees Team of Dehradun in Group B match, while Ifad beat New  Indreni Bageshwori Youth Club in straight sets in Group A. Departmental  side NPC took first set against Dehradun 25-1 but visitors earned 14 and 17 points in the next two sets. NPC’s Kamana Bista was named the player-of-the-match.

Similarly,  Ifad recorded a hard-fought 27-25, 25-22, 26-24 victory over New  Indreni. Ifad’s Ishu was named the player-of-the-match. On Thursday, Nepal APF Club had defeated Ifad, while Shivam New Diamond Club had outplayed NPC.

On Sunday, APF will take on New Indreni and NDA will play against Dehradun. The matches will decide the semi-finalists. Top three teams will receive Rs 200,000, Rs 100,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively.
