KATHMANDU: The International Cricket Council has postponed the tri-series one-day tournament under the Cricket World Cup League-2.

According to the Cricket Association of Nepal, the series involving Nepal, Oman and the United States of America due to be held in March in Oman was postponed indefinitely due to the travel restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

The ICC also postponed two other tri-series - Papua New Guinea, Oman and Scotland slated for April and PNG, USA and Namibia scheduled for May.

"The ICC has decided to postpone the series until further notice due to the effect of coronavirus, quarantine protocols imposed by the governments of respective countries, and travel restrictions in various nations," said the CAN in a release. CAN had called 32 players for training as part of preparation of the tri-series.
