KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 23
Tribhuvan Army Club and Times Basketball Club advanced to the men's section final of the Lama Tendi Sherpa Memorial Open Basketball Tournament here at the NSC covered hall on Wednesday.
TAC defeated Royal Basketball Academy 82-73 in the first semi-final match. Robin Khatri netted 17 points for TAC, while Nikesh Magar scored 25 for Royal.
TAC won first three quarters 21-18, 24-13 and 19-16 before Royal took the final one 26-18. In another match, Times beat Golden Gate 84-67 riding on 25 points from Bijay Burja.
Times dominated the match taking first three quarters 23-14, 23-19 and 18-14 before both sides netted 20 points in the final period. In women's section, Rupandehi defeated Kirtipur 45-41 riding on 22 points from Deepika Gurung in the last league round match.
Royal and Nepal Police Club have already entered the final. Both final matches are slated for Thursday.
