The domestic gold market experienced another notable surge on Thursday, with the yellow metal climbing by Rs 1500 per tola, reaching a record high price. Following suit, silver prices also saw a significant increase of Rs 30 per tola.

This marks the third substantial price hike in gold within the domestic market this week. Earlier, on both Sunday and Tuesday, gold had risen by Rs 2000 per tola, followed by a Rs 500 increase on Wednesday, totaling a gain of Rs 6000 per tola so far this week.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is currently being traded at Rs 123,000 per tola, a significant rise from yesterday's rate of Rs 123,500 per tola.

Similarly, tejabi gold is being traded at Rs 124,400 per tola, compared to Wednesday's rate of Rs 122,900 per tola.

Meanwhile, the silver market also witnessed a substantial surge in price, rising to Rs 1,470 per tola, an increase of Rs 30 per tola from Wednesday's rate of Rs 1,440 per tola.

While the gold market has been experiencing significant gains, silver prices have been steadily increasing. This marks the first substantial increment in price for silver this week.
