Mini power tillers distributed to Ilam farmers

ILAM: The Ilam District Agriculture Development Office (DADO) has distributed 13 mini power tillers to farmers' groups and cooperatives operating in different parts of the district this year.

The support was provided to different groups and cooperatives on 50 % subsidy, shared DADO Planning Officer Prakash Mani Kafle.

In order to attract the farmers to agriculture modernisation and increase their income level by reducing production costs, the DADO Ilam has so far distributed 72 mini power tillers since last year, informed DADO official Uddhab Poudel.

The DADO further informed that they have procured power tiller of 11 Horsepower (hp), each costs around Rs 84,000, this year from Shrestha Agri Inputs based in Kathmandu.
