KATHMANDU, JULY 9

Nepal SBI Bank Ltd (NSBL) marked its 33rd anniversary with a nationwide employee oath-taking ceremony and a series of corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, reaffirming its commitment to ethical banking, community welfare and education.

The anniversary programme, held on July 7 at the bank's corporate office in Kamaladi, saw Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Ram Kumar Tiwari administer an oath of commitment to employees. Staff from provincial offices and branches across the country joined the ceremony virtually.

Addressing employees, Tiwari urged staff to uphold the bank's legacy by embracing ethics, integrity, innovation and customer-centric service. He said the bank's adherence to international best practices had strengthened corporate governance and operational excellence, while encouraging employees to turn challenges into opportunities through teamwork and dedication.

As part of the celebrations, the bank organised blood donation programmes across all seven provinces, including at its corporate office in Kathmandu.

The bank also expanded its CSR initiatives by donating smart boards to Shree Laxminarayan Ved Vidhyashram in Biratnagar and to Shree Prabhat Madhyamik Vidhyalaya and Shree Hari Dil Bhumi Madhyamik Vidhyalaya in Birendranagar to promote technology-enabled learning. It also extended financial support to Birateshwar Jeshtha Nagarik Maitri Clinic in Biratnagar.

According to the bank, the initiatives reflect its continued focus on supporting education, healthcare and community development while creating a positive social impact across the country.

Nepal SBI Bank has been providing banking services in Nepal for 33 years. It currently operates a network of 103 branches, 22 extension counters, seven provincial offices, 21 branchless banking outlets, 127 ATMs and one corporate office nationwide.
