KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 11

After three consecutive days of losses this week, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index finally made a recovery on Wednesday, gaining 5.16 points, which amounted to a 0.27 percent increase, bringing it to a total of 1894.76 points.

Similarly, the sensitive index, which evaluates the performance of 'A' class stocks, also experienced a positive shift, recording a 0.21 percent gain of 0.77 points, closing at 362.08 points. The float index, reflecting the performance of actively traded shares, increased by 0.26 percent, or 0.34 points, reaching 131.46 points.

A total of 3,733,524 units of shares from 286 companies were traded in 55,197 transactions, with a total turnover of Rs 1.088 billion. Despite witnessing some recovery in Nepse index, the daily turnover has continued to decline. On Tuesday, the total daily turnover was 1.28 billion.

The total market capitalization reached Rs 2.890 trillion.

Among the sub-indices, all performed positively, except for the Manufacturing and Processing index, which experienced a 0.13 percent loss, the Non-life Insurance index with a 0.06 percent decline, and the Trading index with a 0.13 percent loss. On the bright side, the Hotel and Tourism index led the gainers with a 1.80 percent increase, followed by the Mutual Fund index, which rose by 1.07 percent.
