KATHMANDU, JANUARY 27

Concluding that the ordinances were issued based on necessity, the ruling parties have reached a unified stance regarding them.

During a meeting held this evening at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar, top leaders of the ruling coalition agreed to pass the replacement bills during the upcoming winter session of the Federal Parliament.

The meeting, convened by Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli, also focused on preparations for the winter session and ensuring effective governance.

CPN-UML Chief Whip Mahesh Bartaula stated that the ruling parties resolved to present their unified views in a strong, effective, and constructive manner. "If further discussions are required, Prime Minister Oli, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, and other top leaders will be consulted," he added.

The meeting also decided to introduce additional legislation and provide sufficient business for Parliament.

Attendees included Prime Minister Oli, NC President Deuba, UML Vice-Chair and Deputy Prime Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel, NC Vice-President Purna Bahadur Khadka, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party Nepal Chair Mahantha Thakur, Nagarik Unmukti Party Chair Ranjita Shrestha, Janamat Party Chair Dr. Chandra Kant (CK) Raut, Janata Samajbadi Party leader Raj Kishor Yadav, and chief whips of the ruling coalition's parliamentary parties.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Oli stated that the ordinances recently issued by the government to serve the public and advance development efforts would be tabled on the first day of the parliamentary session, with replacement bills to follow shortly thereafter.

The winter session of the Federal Parliament is scheduled to commence on January 31.
