Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 800,282 on Thursday with 667 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 773,140 with 911 discharges logged today.
On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll increased to 11,200 with eight more fatalities.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 10,672 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 7,264 were PCR tests while 3,408 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,264,067 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 138 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 804.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 96.6 %, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.
The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 15,942.
Currently, there are 242 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Wednesday, Nepal's coronavirus caseload had reached 799,615 with 849 more people testing positive for the infection.
The capital district holds the highest number of infections with 207 cases in the country while Jhapa is second in line with 58 cases today.
So far, a total of 14,439,285 people has received coronavirus vaccine across the country, of which 8,008,854 have received the first dose while only 6,430,431 individuals have been inoculated with both the doses and are fully vaccinated.
Globally, over 237 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 4.8 million people have lost their lives to the disease.
Likewise, over 214 million people have recovered while more than 17 million cases are still active.
