DAILEKH: An unidentified gang of looters robbed some Raute people of money, crops and clothes in Siristhan forest area of Narayan Municipality in the district two days ago.

The people belonging to the country's only nomadic tribe were returning their home from district headquarters after bartering crops with their wooden artefacts.

According to a local, the gang took away money, food grains and clothes from the Rautes.

The Rautes had come to live in Bhairikathum two months ago from Kusapani after a few members of their tribe had died due to diarrhoea. They now live in Rawatkot VDC.
