Students stand against the strike

DHANGADHI, FEBRUARY 4

Lives of people in Sudur Pashchim Province have been affected by the general strike called by Dahal-Nepal faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party.

Operation of industries, factories, educational institutions, transportation has come to a halt in all the nine districts of the province owing to the 'banda'.

Meanwhile, cadres of the splinter group are staging demonstrations against the Oli-government in various places of the province.

Cadres and leaders of the Dahal-Nepal group gathered at the Campus Chowk and torched tires while others shut down a few shops that were open and have urged the people to not operate any vehicles on the streets.

The strike-callers reasoned that they had to take the move against the Oli-administration's recent steps that challenge the rule of law.

Students stand against general-strike

Students of Kailali Multiple Campus have protested the strike called by the dissenting faction of the ruling party. A rally was taken out from the gates of the campus till Campus Chowk chanting slogans against the strike.

All educational facilities were shut due to the strike on Thursday. Stating that such political actions arising out of internal tussle between various sides violate the rights of students, they took to streets protesting the same.
