Chief Minister of Sudurpashchim Province, Trilochan Bhatta is set to undergo a floor test during a Provincial Assembly session.

A letter apprising the assembly of the motion has already been registered in the Provincial Assembly Secretariat on Sunday.

On May 24, the CPN-UML Sudurpaschim Province parliamentary party meeting had decided to withdraw its support to the provincial government led by CM Bhatta who represents the CPN-Maoist Centre.

However, the Madhav Nepal led faction of the UML had decided to continue its support to Bhatta-government.

The date for the Chief Minister's vote-of-confidence motion is yet to be determined, joint-secretary of the assembly secretariat Sidhha Raj Chataut informed.
