KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 4

Seen in the pictures are security personnel and the general public on the road around Chabahil area, in Kathmandu, on Thursday morning.

Normal life of Kathmandu denizens was seen affected by the general strike called by Dahal-Nepal faction of Nepal Communist Party (NCP), following the appointment of officials of constitutional bodies bypassing the parliamentary hearings on Wednesday.

Heavy presence of security personnel could be seen in major junctions of the valley while travellers are seen walking to their destinations in the lack of sufficient modes of transportation.
