US endurance Athlete Tyler Andrews sets new Everest speed record as Spring 2026 season closes on historic high

American mountain runner Tyler Andrews scripted history by scaling Mount Everest (8,848.86m) from Base Camp to summit in just 9 hours and 55 minutes, setting a new Fastest Known Time (FKT) for an oxygen-assisted ascent and capping what has been one of the most remarkable Everest seasons on record.

Pa Dawa's 30th Everest summit headlines record-filled day on Nepal's peaks

Nepal’s spring climbing season witnessed another historic day on Monday as veteran climber Pasang Dawa Sherpa, popularly known as Pa Dawa, summited Mt Everest for the 30th time, becoming only the second climber in history to achieve the feat after Kami Rita Sherpa.
